About us
The Lancaster Hall Hotel is owned by the German YMCA organisation which is a registered charity that supports local community projects for all ages and nationalities, along with the German community in London as a whole. We have a sister company Kensington Gardens Hostel, also on Craven Terrace.
Established in 1973, the Lancaster Hall Hotel has been open for nearly 50 years and in that time have been welcoming tourists and business travellers from all over the world.
Arriving by plane
If you are arriving at Heathrow Airport we recommend that you catch the Tfl rail service into Paddington Station rather that the Heathrow Express. Both take the same route except Tfl rail is much cheaper.
From Paddington Station you turn right onto Praed Street. Carry straight on down Craven Road until you reach Moore's Chemist and a flower stand where you will then see Craven Terrace.
Arriving by train
Many mainline rail services and 4 tube lines stop at Paddington Station. Turn right out of the station onto Praed Street. Carry straight on down Craven Road until you reach Moore's Chemist and a flower stand where you will then see Craven Terrace.
Arriving by taxi
Hail a Black Cab and ask for Craven Terrace in W2 for an authentic London experience! The driver will know the way from there.
Arriving by tube
The District, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Bakerloo line all stop at Paddington Station. There are several entrances but all lead onto Praed Street. Carry straight on down Praed Street in the opposite direction to MacDonalds and you will come to Craven Terrace on the left by Moore's pharmacy.
Lancaster Gate tube stops by Kensington Gardens. Turn right out of the station and go straight, cross the road and take the first right after the Swan Pub. From there keep going straight onto Craven Terrace.
