the bell cast in 1856, has given its name
to the famous clock tower of the Houses
of Parliament.

Fountains (Italian Gardens). Kensington
Gardens together with Hyde Park to the
east forms London's best-known public
park. Kensington Gardens were originally
the private gardens of Kensington Palace.

The Tower of
London is one of the oldest and
most imposing fortresses in England.
Building started in the 11th century by
William the Conqueror and has been added
to and altered by later sovereigns.

Tower
Bridge, with its twin
drawbridges and gothic towers, was
completed in 1894 and is the farthest
downstream of all London's bridges.

St
Paul's is regarded as the
'parish church of the British
Commonwealth'. The present Cathedral is
the third on this site and was completed
in the early 18th century.
